Realme will unveil the GT Neo5 SE at an event on April 3, that much was officially known since last week. Today, ahead of next week’s announcement, we get some details about the phone’s display, courtesy of a teaser posted by the company itself on Weibo .
The Realme GT Neo5 SE’s screen will have 144 Hz refresh rate, and it supports high-frequency 2160Hz PWM dimming (in lieu of support for DC dimming, this is the next best thing for those who are sensitive to lower-frequency PWM).
As you can tell from the teaser above, the display is flat and it features a centered hole-punch for the selfie camera. According to prolific leakster Digital Chat Station, who outed the image you can see below, the size will be 6.74″, there will be an embedded fingerprint sensor, and the peak brightness will be 1,400 nits. Realme itself says we should expect “1.5K” resolution, whatever that means.
The phone will be among the first ones powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, which will be accompanied by up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. Unsurprisingly, the Realme GT Neo5 SE is rumored to ship with Android 13 on board, with Realme OS 4.0 on top.
Keeping the lights on will allegedly be a massive 5,500 mAh battery which has support for 100W fast wired charging. Camera-wise, there will be three on the rear with a 64 MP headliner, and a 16 MP snapper on the front. The device is expected to be offered in two colors: black and “Final Fantasy”.
